Refunds
30 days. No questions.
You are buying something you cannot fully try first, from a brand you have no reason to trust yet. The refund policy should carry that risk, not you.

The policy
If you bought FIRST YEAR, FIGURED OUT. and it is not right for you, email us within 30 days of your purchase and we will refund you in full.
- No reason required. “I changed my mind” is enough. You do not owe us an explanation.
- No conditions. It does not matter how much of it you used, or whether you read every page.
- No forms. One email.
How to request one
Email support@firstyearfiguredout.com from the address you paid with, or tell us which address you used. That is all we need to find the payment — Stripe holds the record, so there is no order number to dig up.
We will process it as soon as we see it. Once we do, the money is returned to your original payment method; how quickly it appears is up to your bank, typically five to ten business days.
What happens to your data
Nothing, unless you delete it. Your logs, notes and journal entries are on your device, not ours, so a refund does not erase them — we have no ability to reach them. If you want them gone, use Delete all data in the app, or simply uninstall. If you want to keep them, use Export first; they are yours either way.
Access to the paid content stops working when the proof-of-purchase token on your device expires. See our privacy page for how that works.
After 30 days
The formal policy ends, but email us anyway. If something went genuinely wrong — you were charged twice, the product did not work on your device, you bought it by mistake — we would rather sort it out than point at a date.
If you were charged twice
Tell us and we will refund the duplicate immediately. That is a mistake on our side, not a refund request, and there is no time limit on it.
Why we do it this way. A one-time purchase from an unfamiliar brand is a leap of faith, and a grudging refund policy is how companies make you pay for their own lack of credibility. We would rather issue the occasional refund than talk someone into a purchase they regret.
